About the Role

The Finance Intern will support the Finance team with invoicing operations for our Medically Tailored Meals (MTM) program. This role offers hands-on experience in processing and reconciling invoices, managing vendor documentation, and supporting daily financial operations within a growing nonprofit. Full on-the-job training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Support the MTM invoicing cycle by reviewing, processing, and tracking invoices from restaurant partners and service providers.
• Reconcile invoice data against delivery records and meal counts in internal systems.
• Assist with vendor documentation, including W-9s and ACH banking information.
• Flag discrepancies and collaborate with Finance staff for timely resolution.
• Support other Finance team tasks, such as budget tracking and funder reporting preparation, as capacity allows.

Requirements

• Current student in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program, majoring in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Non-profit Management.
• Strong interest in nonprofit finance and accounting.
• Comfort working with numbers and spreadsheets (Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel).
• Experience with Google Workspace.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hard-working, dedicated, and self-motivated.
• Attention to detail and high systems aptitude.
• Flexible and able to adapt to changes.
• Ability to abide by and uphold professional standards.
