About the Role

Daikin Applied is seeking a Project Engineer in our Jersey City, NJ office to manage customer satisfaction, act as a liaison between customers and factories, and ensure project scope is met. This role involves analyzing changes, managing project financials, and providing technical expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Manage overall customer satisfaction by ensuring the complete scope of work purchased by the customer is accurately communicated, ordered and delivered in full.
  • Serve as the liaison between the customer, sales team and equipment factories to troubleshoot and address technical issues and customer questions.
  • Effectively communicate with the customer to determine project timelines, scheduling and required ship dates.
  • Analyze customer and engineering requests for changes to the initial project scope of work and implement these changes into the project as required.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of the project financials from job costing through customer invoicing.
  • Assist the sales team with technical expertise in the selection/application of standard and/or modified products.
  • Create professional, technical submittal documents in accordance with the project drawings, specifications and scope of work sold for submission to the customer.
  • Monitor the submittal approval process to minimize impact to the overall project schedule.
  • Provide prompt, accurate responses to sales inquiries regarding special applications, systems or pricing (Daikin Tools Quotations).
  • Interface with sales team for technical solutions, including use of Daikin energy analyzer and acoustics software as required.
  • Coordinate with Application Engineering and Technical Response Groups efforts to provide pre- and post-sales support.
  • Keep current on new products by attending technical training and sales meetings.
  • Process and execute orders in compliance with the project drawings, specifications and scope of work sold.
  • Manage the post-sale process from shipping, start-up request and warranty issues through project close out.
  • May assist with estimating of projects and creating professional, high-grade sales proposals from RFP/RFI from clients for Daikin Applied.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, technical, or scientific field.
  • 3+ years related work experience.
  • Experience in HVAC preferred.
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Salary/Compensations

  • $74,500.00 - $117,100.00 USD Annual
