About the Role
As a Dietary Aide at Long Term Care, you'll create meaningful relationships with residents by delivering compassionate care through your responsibilities in dietary services. Join a team that prioritizes getting to know each resident by their life stories, not just by their names. Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of meals, and serving meals
- Follow residents' diets and food preferences
- Take the menu orders from the residents
- Set and clear tables in the dining rooms and ensure they are sanitized
- Ensure you are following proper food handling techniques
Requirements
- Have a valid Safe Food Handler’s Certificate or willing to obtain
- Committed to providing compassionate support that provides seniors to live their lives to the fullest
- Detailed-oriented coupled with strong customer service skills enabling you to effectively communicate with residents and staff
- May bring experience in food service from institutional, healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
- Must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and/or Criminal Record Check applicable to the appropriate province
