About the Role
Honeywell International is seeking an experienced and motivated Building Management Systems (BMS) Field Service Technician to join our Building Automation team supporting customers throughout New York City, Queens, The Bronx, and Brooklyn, NY. This is a Union position (Local 3) responsible for the installation, commissioning, programming, troubleshooting, optimization, and lifecycle support of advanced Building Automation Systems (BAS) utilizing Honeywell and Tridium Niagara platforms. In this role, you will support high-profile projects and customer sites by delivering reliable, integrated building management solutions that enhance operational efficiency, occupant comfort, energy performance, and system reliability. You will work with a variety of building systems, including HVAC controls, lighting controls, energy management, alarming, trending, and third-party system integrations in commercial facilities such as high-rise office buildings, healthcare campuses, educational institutions, and other mission-critical environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, program, and troubleshoot Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Develop system databases, map points, and configure front-end workstations and graphics
- Interpret and implement sequences of operation
- Commission and start up HVAC control systems
- Work with industry protocols including BACnet, LonWorks, and Modbus
- Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and control drawings
- Collaborate with internal project teams, subcontractors, and customers to ensure successful project execution
