About the Role
This role involves working with community partners to increase Molina’s membership and improve community health and well-being. Specialists collaborate with sales teams and across regions, managing events and community relationships. The role requires engaging with Community Based Organizations (CBOs) 75% or more of the time, with mileage reimbursement provided.
Responsibilities
- Provides senior level support for health plan growth and community engagement activities.
- Achieves and improves Molina’s enrollment/referral growth objectives across all lines of business.
- Collaborates with key departments to improve overall choice rates and assignment percentages.
- Develops relationships with community-based organizations (CBOs) and providers to drive membership growth.
- Coordinates community events with key partners to increase Molina brand recognition and visibility.
- Carries out activities to achieve membership/referral growth targets and overall choice rate through direct and indirect marketing and community events.
- Achieves monthly, quarterly, and annual enrollment/referral goals and growth targets.
- Schedules, coordinates, and participates in Molina turnkey community events, encouraging partner participation and aligning media components.
- Develops, maintains, and deepens relationships with key business leaders, CBOs, and providers to build membership.
- Collaborates with the provider relations team to ensure providers are aware of Molina products and services.
- Establishes referral processes for providers and CBOs to refer eligible clients.
- Represents Molina as an ambassador within the community on healthcare delivery system and wellness topics.
- Facilitates presentations, attends meetings, and distributes educational materials.
- Assists with incoming calls, addressing member questions related to health access.
- Identifies opportunities for key sponsorships and provides justification for Molina participation.
- Identifies and promotes Molina's Volunteer Time Off (VTO) program and develops employee volunteering opportunities.
- Manages daily schedule in alignment with department goals and assigned community region(s).
- Provides training and support to new and existing growth and community engagement team members.
- Performs up to 75% local travel.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of related experience in marketing, business development, community engagement, sales, and/or customer service, preferably in the health care industry, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Valid and unrestricted driver's license.
- Reliable transportation and adequate auto insurance for job-related travel.
- Ability to drive up to 3 hours to attend events.
- Ability to attend public events in outdoor venues in all weather conditions.
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds and independently prepare for and set up community marketing events.
- Strong customer service acumen.
- Networking skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships with key internal/external stakeholders, including CBOs.
- Knowledge of community resources.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with little to no supervision.
- Organizational and time-management skills to manage simultaneous projects and tasks.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to facilitate public speaking events and presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite/applicable software programs.
