About the Role
The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center (AMC) in New York City seeks a Dispensary Technician to fill prescriptions and perform other related duties within the dispensary.
Responsibilities
- Fill prescriptions
- Order, store, and keep track of stock
- Greet clients and provide efficient, courteous service in person and by telephone
- Attend all applicable training courses
- Maintain a clean work area, including mopping/sweeping
- Perform all other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- College degree and 2 years of work experience, or 4 years of work experience with two in a similar position
- Ability to type and enter information on a computer
- Strong communication skills with a proven ability to interact calmly, patiently, and effectively with clients
- Ability to work reliably on individual tasks and collaboratively in a team environment, showing a proactive approach to supporting daily operations
- Prepared to manage steady workflow demands productively
- Flexible regarding work hours
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to follow instructions precisely and adhere strictly to Controlled Substance Protocol, OSHA and recycling regulations
