About the Role

Datadog is seeking a Program Manager to join their Community team, focusing on AI and Developer events. This role involves planning and executing events, collaborating across teams, and ensuring a high-quality customer experience. The position supports the Technical Advocacy team's efforts in engaging local user communities and delivering technical content globally.

Responsibilities

  • Grow Datadog’s presence at AI events and identify opportunities for meetups, hands-on learning, and sponsored events.
  • Plan technical programming for AI or developer events that Datadog hosts or sponsors.
  • Support AI and developer focused content at larger global events such as DASH, Datadog’s annual conference.
  • Track deadlines and deliverables for content and events, including digital and physical assets, and work with vendors and procurement teams.
  • Identify and resolve risks and blockers for event programming.
  • Maintain internal tools and public website for event agenda and speaker content.
  • Own the onsite speaker experience for both internal and customer speakers.
  • Manage event programming onsite, coordinating rehearsals, staffing, and ensuring smooth onsite operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Community teams, external stakeholders, and the VP of Community.
  • Create and refine processes, focusing on continual improvements, automation, and scaling.
  • Communicate goals, status, risks, and impact to teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and visibility.

Requirements

  • Approximately 2-5 years of experience in program management, leading similar initiatives such as large-scale conferences and related programs within a B2B SaaS company.
  • Experience partnering closely with technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience building and fostering effective working relationships.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Enjoy building processes.
  • A data-driven approach to program management, including building tools, collecting and analyzing data, and driving stakeholder buy-in.
  • Experience influencing without direct authority at senior levels, internal and external to the organization.
  • Able to travel via train or air, domestically and internationally, up to 20% of the time.
