About the Role

Serve as a strategic partner between the Global Operations & Technology organization and the Enterprise Data team, acting as the voice of data for Supply Chain and Global Member Support. This role involves hands-on analysis and collaboration within a larger data team.

Responsibilities

  • Define, build, and maintain a robust metric architecture, considering North Star metrics, leading vs. lagging indicators, counter-metrics, and operational guardrails.
  • Create clear documentation and build consensus among stakeholders.
  • Lead a workstream to review key metrics weekly, reporting vital changes, trends, and strategic opportunities to the company.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on operational anomalies, distinguishing true operational signals from noise, seasonality, or data pipeline breaks.
  • Determine when a scrappy analysis is sufficient versus when a more nuanced approach is necessary.
  • Shape and deliver clear business narratives with appropriate nuance, translating complex data into concise recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners on measurement strategy and data collection for pilot projects and new initiatives.
  • Decompose ambiguous business goals into structured analytical frameworks that drive decisions.
  • Partner with tech and operations teams to design, evaluate, and interpret operational experiments and process changes.
  • Become an in-house expert on supply chain and member support data, while maintaining broad awareness of other data domains.
  • Evangelize available data to Global Ops and Tech teams, ensuring awareness and proper usage through documentation and training.
  • Identify and act on gaps and opportunities in data adoption.
  • Develop strong partnerships with technology stakeholders who own operational systems.
  • Document the broader data ecosystem, mapping system connections.
  • Ensure alignment with Tech teams on planning and roadmap initiatives.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of data analytics experience, with a proven track record operating at a senior level within a complex organization.
  • Experience performing data extraction, cleaning, analysis, and presentation for medium to large datasets.
  • Practical knowledge of A/B testing and quasi-experimental design (e.g., difference-in-differences).
  • Highly skilled in both written and verbal communication, able to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical executives and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to context-switch between high-level documentation and day-to-day triage.
  • Ability to establish trusted analytics and guide teams away from misleading metrics.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a strategic mindset for solving complex, unstructured problems.
  • Experience working in deep partnership with cross-functional teams (technical and non-technical).
  • Highly analytical with a deep understanding of how complex systems interact.
  • Enjoys asking questions, explaining findings, and communicating insights to empower data-driven decisions.
  • Scrappy, critical thinker adept at connecting dots across complex systems.
  • Knows when to simplify a problem for clarity and when a complex deep-dive is warranted.
  • Strength in collaboration, communication, and transforming data into actionable business narratives.
