About the Role

The Events and Experience Intern will support the marketing department with a primary focus on fan engagement, fan events, and special game experiences. This position will assist in a wide range of activities related to the marketing and events operations of the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of fan engagement initiatives and special events.
  • Assist with event preparation including organizing supplies, maintaining inventory, and ensuring materials are ready for activations and promotions.
  • Assist in the execution of gameday marketing promotions and activations, including fan giveaways, brand activations, promotional appearances, gameday events, and vendor relations.
  • Assist the Marketing department in executing campaigns and promotional plans.
  • Assist the Fan Development Manager during focus groups to collect fan insights.
  • Promote a positive fan experience and work as part of a creative team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Availability to work weeknights, weekends, gamedays, and holidays as needed.
  • Possess strong communication skills, an outgoing and positive attitude, and enjoy interaction with fans.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving boxes up to 20 pounds.
