About the Role

The Lead Enterprise Architect provides senior-level leadership to stabilize and mature the Enterprise Architecture function. This role oversees Corporate Products EA, Transportation EA, and Business Architecture teams, establishes governance, and aligns EA with modernization and AI-assisted delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership for EA teams (Corporate Products, Transportation, Business Architecture).
• Establish operational rhythm: standups, intake triage, prioritization, architecture decision support.
• Mentor architects and elevate architectural thinking across product teams.
• Define and implement lightweight EA governance, standards, and engagement models.
• Establish architecture review processes and decision frameworks.
• Align EA with modernization initiatives.
• Integrate AI-driven architecture methods into EA workflows.
• Assess EA team capabilities and gaps.

Requirements

• Enterprise Architecture Leadership – 15+ years.
• EA Frameworks (DoDAF, UAF, TOGAF, BEA, ETP) – 10+ years.
• Systems Engineering – 15+ years.
• Cloud Architecture (AWS, Google Cloud) – 7+ years.
• Zero Trust Architecture (NIST ZT) – 5+ years.
• Microservices/SOA Architecture – 10+ years.
• AI Integration in Architecture Methods – 3+ years.
• Enterprise Architecture Consulting – 10+ years.
• IT Acquisition Reform – 5+ years.
• Executive Advisory Experience – 10+ years.
