About the Role
The Scale & Admin Support's primary objective is the successful and safe shipment of materials to the customer, including frequent communication with customers and haulers, processing remote tickets, verifying shipment details, and coordinating dispatch. They will also provide professional customer service, assist with PO creation, work orders, payroll, and other administrative duties. Additionally, they will support remote ticking of other sites as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Operate APEX system to check/tare trucks and produce weigh-bills/tickets accurately and timely.
- Collect and transfer transport vehicle documentation.
- Communicate customer, transport, and system issues to relevant teams for resolution.
- Collect money for cash sales and reconcile against the register.
- Follow the Dispatch Daily Checklist to manage delivery schedules and minimize disruptions.
- Assign and coordinate trucks and personnel for deliveries, ensuring efficient resource use.
- Plan routes and communicate with drivers and customers.
- Practice good housekeeping principles in all work areas, ensuring the scale house and yard are safe, presentable, and functional.
- Administer resale ticket entry into APEX system accurately and timely.
- Create POs, process receiving, manage work orders, payroll, and other reporting through SAP.
- Provide assistance via phone or face-to-face contact with visitors.
- Support the Logistics Manager by following Load & Scale Policy and STP Policy programs.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports as prescribed by Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
- Demonstrate commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Promote a culture of safety and exhibit safety behaviors.
Requirements
- Excellent computer skills.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Experience working with customers/dispatching.
- Must work/communicate effectively as a member of a team.
- Must be detail-oriented, thorough, and accurate.
- Must have a positive and optimistic attitude.
- Must be able to work well under pressure.
- Must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
- Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass fit tests.
