About the Role

Albany Medical College is seeking a BC/BE Acute Care Surgeon to join its division of Acute Care Surgery and Critical Care. This role offers academic growth opportunities and access to state-of-the-art facilities within a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Responsibilities

• Staff an ACS verified Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Provide trauma and acute care surgical services.
• Work within a 30-bed critical care unit.
• Manage a wide variety of cases including trauma, vascular surgery, neurosurgical diseases and stroke, surgical oncology, and complex general surgical conditions.
• Staff a separate cardiac surgical unit and vascular surgical ICUs.

Requirements

• BC/BE Acute Care Surgeon required.
• Must have a strong interest in academic growth.
• Workforce members are expected to ensure that access to information is based on a “need to know” and is the minimum necessary to properly perform assigned duties.
• Use or disclosure shall not exceed the minimum amount of information needed to accomplish an intended purpose.
• Reasonable efforts shall be made to ensure that information is adequately protected from unauthorized access and modification.
