About the Role
Citi is seeking a Market Manager to drive deposit and revenue growth within the North America Liquidity Management Services team, focusing on the Financial Institutions and Public Sector Segment, particularly in Digital, FinTech, and Client Money Accounts. This role involves commercializing liquidity solutions, shaping product strategy, and leading initiatives to enhance Citi's market position.
Responsibilities
- Lead the commercialization of liquidity products with Financial Institution and Public Sector clients, serving as a key contact for sales and banking teams to drive deal activity and grow operating deposits across North America.
- Develop and execute client sales strategies that expand liquidity market share with existing clients and new-to-bank prospects, using internal and external data analytics to meet revenue targets.
- Analyze market trends, competitor positioning, and client profitability to identify risks and opportunities, translating findings into actionable product and distribution strategies.
- Partner with Product, Sales, Operations, Technology, and Banking teams to develop client use cases, targeting approaches, and solution strategies that address evolving market needs.
- Manage the performance of the deposit portfolio across interest rate environments, focusing on revenue-accretive projects and optimizing the overall balance sheet position.
- Lead deal structuring, pricing, and execution for key North America transactions, providing subject matter expertise and ensuring successful implementation.
- Produce sector-specific marketing materials and coordinate pre-launch meetings with Sales teams to build target market lists and detailed go-to-market plans for new product launches.
- Maintain rigorous oversight of product risk, regulatory compliance, and transactional profitability, ensuring all activities align with applicable policies and controls frameworks.
Requirements
- 10 or more years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage and commercialize liquidity or cash management products, with working knowledge of balance sheet management principles.
- Confident communicator with a track record of presenting to senior stakeholders and clients, and the ability to influence outcomes across a complex set of partners.
- Skilled in quantitative and qualitative analysis, using data to develop market sizing models, assess sector trends, and support product decision-making.
- Ability to coordinate across multiple functions simultaneously, including sales, technology, operations, legal, and risk, to deliver client-focused solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
