About the Role
The Clinical Information Analyst partners with physicians, clinicians, and operational teams to support and optimize clinical information systems, with a strong focus on Epic applications and workflows. This role provides hands-on end-user support, assists with system-related issues, develops reports, facilitates meetings, and helps drive process improvements that enhance clinical efficiency and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Validates data collected through clinical documentation is sound, relevant, accurate, and reliable.
- Supports the values and objectives of Memorial Hermann Health System.
- Assists clinicians with workflow and process analysis that align with the strategic plan, leveraging available resources, metrics, benchmarks, and system standards across the enterprise.
- Manages customer expectations and aligns strategic initiatives with Solution Segments in ISD.
- Documents processes and workflows, presenting them as educational materials.
- Provides hands-on end-user support and training.
- Assists with system-related issues.
- Develops reports.
- Facilitates meetings.
- Drives process improvements that enhance clinical efficiency and patient care.
- Plans and develops an educational strategy that provides customers the necessary skills to adequately perform job functions and meets the demands of the changing environment.
- Develops tools that measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the position accountabilities.
- Identifies clinical and other system application requirements through process and workflow analysis.
- Provides support to projects assigned to the department.
- Documents initial information leading to a forensic medical record investigations as part of safety events.
- Participates in facility certification attestations for nationally recognized organizations.
- Reinforces clinical practices and standards.
- Optimizes workflow and promotes change in the clinical information systems by working with clinical and quality leadership at the facility and system level.
- Engages in facility Project / Change Management and Adoption.
- Ensures all data collection and recording is in legal compliance with federal, state, and regulatory groups.
- Effectively organizes and facilitates executive meetings to review IT strategic initiatives, monitor, and measure outcomes.
- Ensures safe care to patients, staff, and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity, and quality of service.
- Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency.
- Supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization.
- Serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.

Requirements
- Must reside in the Greater Houston area.
- Requires at least one (1) year of healthcare industry experience and/or implementation of large and complex information Systems in a Health Care environment.
- Basic knowledge of IT, Microsoft Office tools, knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
- Understanding of effective Customer Relationship Management Skills necessary for efficient problem resolution to maximize customer satisfaction.
