Responsibilities

Evaluates and treats patients based on history, physical examination, and diagnostic test results.
Initiates referrals to other healthcare providers and consults with physicians.
Documents and bills for direct patient care provided.
Potential to precept students and facilitate the learning of new team members.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in South Carolina.
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner candidates must be licensed or eligible.
Prior hospital medicine and/or ICU experience preferred.
At least 6 months of Hospitalist Medicine Experience.
Currently licensed (or eligible) in South Carolina as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required; must be obtained by start date if not current.
Maintain licenses, certifications, and continuing education as required.
DHEC and DEA license required.
