About the Role
St. Peter's Hospital, a part of St Peter's Health Partners, is seeking a Medical Imaging Aide for their FT Evenings shift (Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-11:00pm). This role is crucial in patient care, film library duties, inventory control, and meeting the miscellaneous needs of assigned sections, all while abiding by the Mercy care mission and values.
Responsibilities
- Transport patients safely from room to department, verifying identity with name bands.
- Ensure the correct chart accompanies each patient.
- Assist with patient transfers to department tables.
- Identify outpatients in waiting areas, assist with changing, and escort them to the appropriate area.
- Monitor patients if they are compromised until they are taken into the examination room.
- Prepare and stock examination rooms.
- Deliver and pick up instruments from Central Sterile, if applicable.
- Maintain cleanliness and stock in changing areas.
- Deliver and pick up "Wet Read" documents from physicians.
- Transport supplies between Inpatient and Outpatient buildings as needed.
- Deliver specimens to the hospital lab.
