About the Role
The Specialist, Events and Experiences supports the creation and execution of Saks Fifth Avenue's event strategy, aiming to maximize local market exposure and act as a liaison between the Merchant Team, vendors, and retail stores.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage events across all Saks Fifth Avenue doors, and conduct analysis and results review for future event recommendations.
- Assist with planning and execution of new store openings and major renovations.
- Support event planning and logistics, including store communication, creation/communication of turnkey event formats & event directives, budget, and recap process.
- Execute marquee events, including invitation development, décor design, and show production in all Saks full-line stores.
- Manage event budgets and seasonal vendor chargebacks for events for all Saks full-line stores.
- Assist with national initiatives, including focus weeks, brand launches, and holiday activations.
- Proactively analyze event results to refine and improve future events, developing business opportunities and maximizing sales.
- Perform ad hoc responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously in a highly organized and effective manner.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to problem-solve using various approaches.
- Innovative, detail-oriented professional with strong planning, implementation, and execution skills.
- Strong partnership skills for internal and external communities to develop and execute event marketing programs.
- Creative and "out-of-the-box" thinker for developing new and unique event ideas.
- 3-4 years of relevant event experience in fashion, entertainment, or retail industries.
- Strong skills in Powerpoint, Word, Excel, and Google Docs.
