About the Role
Sonos is seeking an experienced DTC Growth & Merchandising leader to manage demand creation and conversion on sonos.com. This player-coach role involves leading a team of three, owning the growth strategy, and driving DTC commercial outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of three, setting goals and managing performance.
- Own the operating model for demand, growth, and discovery functions, including prioritization, resourcing, testing, and measurement.
- Balance capacity between the campaign calendar and the experimentation/measurement agenda.
- Represent the function in leadership forums as the senior owner of demand and conversion outcomes.
- Act as the connective tissue between marketing programs and DTC revenue, ensuring clear line of sight from activity to outcomes.
- Partner with web analytics to build funnel reporting and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Partner with marketing science to interpret and apply attribution, MMM, and incrementality testing.
- Own the GTM calendar, promotions, and new product introduction planning.
- Define how to surface brand and culture marketing onsite to create desire and increase full price realization.
- Establish a merchandising approach that builds awareness, equity, and comprehension around the Sonos ecosystem.
- Elevate content storytelling and education across the funnel to reinforce system-minded consideration and purchase.
- Own the connection between off-platform and on-platform messaging efficacy.
- Partner with marketing and martech to maintain the technical health of the ad ecosystem.
- Own product feed health across channels, optimizing attributes for performance.
- Oversee organic discovery strategy through SEO and AI-driven discovery (GEO).
- Identify and drive improvements in conversion leverage points across the full span from ad click to purchase.
- Own the end-to-end consumer funnel, identifying and removing friction.
- Lead the optimization of orienting less-familiar shoppers to Sonos' core value.
- Build and run a high-velocity growth experimentation program across various funnel areas.
- Optimize product presentation, category architecture, search, and content strategy for commercial performance.
- Identify and prioritize site-experience improvements that ladder to revenue goals.
Requirements
- 7+ years in growth product management, digital marketing, ecommerce, or DTC commercial roles.
- 2+ years of people management experience.
- Demonstrated ownership of funnels and compounding lift.
- Credibility in directing campaigns, brand moments, and merchandising strategy.
- Fluency in experimentation, ad tech, and measurement.
- Deep fluency in the paid-acquisition-to-product-experience seam, including ad tech and feed optimization.
- Statistical fluency for experiment design, sample sizing, significance evaluation, and decision-making.
- Hands-on experience with modern marketing measurement (MTA, MMM/econometrics, incrementality testing).
- Strong understanding of on-site merchandising, content strategy, and organic discovery.
- A product-led growth mindset.
- Intuition for user psychology and designing effective flows.
- Comfort with AI-accelerated ways of working.
- Clear, compelling communicator skilled at making complex analysis accessible.
- Naturally cross-functional, building trust and driving alignment across teams.
- Must be authorized to work for any US employer, both now and in the future.
- Qualified applicants must live within commuting distance of Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Seattle, Boston, or New York.
