About the Role
Dedicated and experienced Pastry Cooks are sought to join a diverse and passionate culinary team for the summer season at the Spaccio East Commissary location in downtown Toronto. This role involves hands-on participation in the daily production of various pastry items, baked goods, and gelato.
Responsibilities
- Participate first hand in the daily production of a variety of pastry items, baked goods and gelato.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience working with baked goods and/or a certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking, or relevant field.
- Skills to competently prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, biscotti, croissants, bread etc.
- Working knowledge of different types of pastries, desserts, cake & decorating.
- Ability to successfully and consistently follow standardized recipes.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced, production environment.
- Be highly organized and able to multitask.
- Open availability.
- Possesses professional disposition with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
