About the Role

Support bartenders in preparing and servicing the bar to deliver outstanding guest service.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Retrieve orders from storeroom, check stock, and reconcile with requisitions.
  • Prepare bar garnishes and mix juices.
  • Stock and maintain bar supplies including paper products, condiments, and glassware.
  • Maintain cleanliness of bar area, beer lockers, refrigerators, and storage areas.
  • Greet guests courteously and thank them upon departure.
  • Inform Lead Bartender or Managers of all guest comments and complaints.
  • Follow procedures to properly open and close the bar, handle keys, run POS reports, and perform side work.
  • Be familiar with the company's beverage lines and drink recipes.
  • Review and verify the previous shift’s inventory at the beginning of every shift.
  • Maintain proper care and cleanliness of tableware and serving equipment.
  • Represent PlumpJack in a positive and professional manner.
  • Promote and comply with all PlumpJack policies and procedures.
  • Immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings.
  • Perform other tasks, including cross training, as directed.
  • Adhere to the attendance and punctuality policy.
  • Report to work as scheduled and be prepared to start work.
  • Remain at work for the entire work shift, except for meal and rest periods or authorized business.

Requirements

  • Previous bar experience preferred.
  • Must have current Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service Certificate that reviews all California liquor laws.
  • Basic knowledge of foods, service standards and procedures.
  • Detail oriented, organized and efficient.
  • Diplomatic and calm with strong verbal communication skills.
  • Courteous, friendly and professional manner.
  • Good team player.
  • Customer service focus.
  • Able to work productively with little supervision.
  • Trustworthy and reliable.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
