About the Role
Support bartenders in preparing and servicing the bar to deliver outstanding guest service.
Responsibilities
- Respond to guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Retrieve orders from storeroom, check stock, and reconcile with requisitions.
- Prepare bar garnishes and mix juices.
- Stock and maintain bar supplies including paper products, condiments, and glassware.
- Maintain cleanliness of bar area, beer lockers, refrigerators, and storage areas.
- Greet guests courteously and thank them upon departure.
- Inform Lead Bartender or Managers of all guest comments and complaints.
- Follow procedures to properly open and close the bar, handle keys, run POS reports, and perform side work.
- Be familiar with the company's beverage lines and drink recipes.
- Review and verify the previous shift’s inventory at the beginning of every shift.
- Maintain proper care and cleanliness of tableware and serving equipment.
- Represent PlumpJack in a positive and professional manner.
- Promote and comply with all PlumpJack policies and procedures.
- Immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times.
- Attend all mandatory meetings.
- Perform other tasks, including cross training, as directed.
- Adhere to the attendance and punctuality policy.
- Report to work as scheduled and be prepared to start work.
- Remain at work for the entire work shift, except for meal and rest periods or authorized business.
Requirements
- Previous bar experience preferred.
- Must have current Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service Certificate that reviews all California liquor laws.
- Basic knowledge of foods, service standards and procedures.
- Detail oriented, organized and efficient.
- Diplomatic and calm with strong verbal communication skills.
- Courteous, friendly and professional manner.
- Good team player.
- Customer service focus.
- Able to work productively with little supervision.
- Trustworthy and reliable.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
