About the Role

Our Capital Region Family Medicine is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to join their team!

Responsibilities

  • Document verbal conversations and information into patient records accurately, legibly, and timely.
  • Maintain timely patient flow.
  • Prepare patients for visits based on office/provider requirements.
  • Obtain specimens (e.g., urine, blood) from patients as directed by the provider.
  • Perform accurate and timely order entry into the lab system.
  • Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (e.g., EKG, PFT).
  • Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, families, members, physicians/providers, managers, co-workers, and external customers.
  • Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.
  • Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records.

Skills

  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred
  • Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred
  • Experience with Allscripts is a plus!
