About the Role

This role supports the strategic planning, organization, and control of daily operations for distribution, service, retention, single copy sales, collection, and advertising initiatives for Newsday and its contracted products.

Responsibilities

• Collect and prepare single copy weekly affidavits, credits, and financial adjustments.
• Assist with distribution supply inventory.
• Assist with analyzing and monitoring vendor settlements, including rates, and prepare weekly vendor adjustments.
• Assist with preparing home delivery service, single copy sales, and other metrics for weekly scorecard reporting.
• Assist with reviewing, analyzing, and preparing the distribution expense budget, including fee considerations, and all other operating expenses.
• Assist with preparation and fulfillment of distribution agreements.
• Assist in the maintenance of Single Copy outlet account balances.
• Assist with distribution accuracy verification audits.
• Assist in monitoring and analysis of Customer Experience (CX) measurements via distribution research surveys.
• Maintain positive business relationships with independent contractors.
• Support all routine actions associated with the successful planning, execution, and maintenance of alternate delivery clients and other address-specific products.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and other special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment with changing priorities.
• Requires a sense of urgency.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and project management skills.
• Excellent customer service orientation and collaborative demeanor.
• Ability to lift, carry and move boxes/items up to 25lbs.
• Reliable means of transportation and valid driver’s license in good standing.
