About the Role

The General Float will provide assistance and backup support to various areas within the Credit Union, depending on operational demands. This position is part of the Saturday rotation schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform the duties of Share Drafts, Loan Interviewer, Teller, Member Champions, Receptionist, eBranch, Card Services, Teller/Branch Team Lead and/or Branch Supervisor on an as-needed basis.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must keep current with basic knowledge of all credit union programs.
• Must thoroughly cross-sell all credit union products at every available opportunity.
• Educates members on the availability of products and services.
• Can discuss interest rates and dividends, how they are computed and disclosed, with members.
• Provides consistent high-quality and memorable service to members.
• Maintains the confidentiality of all sensitive Cornerstone CFCU, member, employee, and proprietary information both during and after employment.
• High School Degree Required.
• 1-3 years of member service experience.
• 2+ years of cash handling experience or 2 years as a teller.
• Experience within the financial services industry is strongly preferred.
• Bondable upon initial employment, and ability to maintain bondability throughout term of employment.
• Ability to perform physical requirements without significant risk of injury to self or others.

Skills

• Deep understanding of credit union functions and value to members and community.
• Understanding of cooperative business models.
• Thorough knowledge of credit union products and services.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to edit grammatically correct written reports, letters, memorandums, etc.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to establish working relationships and interact effectively with a wide range of individuals, members and vendors.
• Ability to problem solve and provide solutions to member issues.
• Desire to build strong relationships with teammates, business partners and specialists through collaboration.
• Self-motivated, confident, and ability to multitask effectively.
