About the Role

Cozzini Bros. is seeking an experienced Area Manager for the Nashville, TN region to oversee all aspects of operations, including route delivery, new business generation, and administration. This role offers opportunities for skill development and involvement in company growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, coach, motivate, and evaluate personnel.
• Monitor employee attendance and schedule vacations to ensure continuous operation.
• Ensure all employees comply with Company policies and procedures.
• Maintain customer goodwill through high-quality products and timely deliveries.
• Address and resolve customer service issues, identifying and eliminating root causes.
• Manage customer retention efforts and investigate service cancellations.
• Optimize route structures and oversee inventory exchanges with the sharpening center.
• Ensure proper maintenance and care of company vehicles and adherence to safety procedures.
• Oversee facility upkeep, maintenance, and cleaning.
• Manage efficient and cost-effective interface with the sharpening center.
• Maintain accurate inventory of rental and sales equipment.
• Provide route relief for absent drivers.
• Achieve assigned area sales goals and develop plans to meet them.
• Sell additional business within existing accounts.
• Develop systems for generating and processing sales leads.
• Oversee the implementation of price increases.
• Monitor competitive activity and report to the Regional General Manager.
• Ensure Company check-out procedures are followed by drivers.
• Oversee cash collection and deposit procedures.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of route and new business paperwork.
• Report all accidents and injuries promptly.
• Assist with accounts receivable collection.
• Oversee operational expenses for fiscal prudence.
• Assist with company improvement activities as directed.

Requirements

• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Pass a pre-employment drug and background test.
• Meet pre-employment and periodic MVR requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively, reach, twist, turn, bend, climb, and pull.
• Overnight travel is required.
• Strong oral, written, and listening communication skills.
• Ability to develop the skills and competencies of subordinates.
