About the Role
The Product Development Associate supports and collaborates with Design, Production, Technical Design, and Merchandising to develop the ready-to-wear assortment while ensuring the design vision is met.
Responsibilities
- Manage product from prototype to production stage.
- Manage tech packs.
- Conduct product fittings and communicate style updates to cross-functional teams.
- Manage showroom samples and PR samples.
- Correspond daily with vendors regarding development and deadlines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Merchandising, Design, Fabric/Trim, and Production to ensure product accuracy.
- Ensure the creative vision of the product is obtained by working collaboratively with the design team.
- Manage workload independently while adhering to tight deadlines.
Requirements
- 2+ years of product development experience.
- Working knowledge of the production cycle from concept through completion.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to cross-functional teams such as Design, Production, Tech, and Fabric.
- Strong communication skills with overseas vendors.
- Apparel construction knowledge.
- Familiarity with contemporary fashion aesthetics.
- Solution-oriented.
