About the Role
The Security Guard I is responsible for patrolling NEMS buildings to detect suspicious activity and ensure the safety of staff and patients.
Responsibilities
- Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Greet and welcome incoming/outgoing patients and provide basic information.
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
- Report in detail any suspicious incidents.
- Patrol building and perimeter randomly or regularly.
- Monitor and control access to building entrances and vehicle gates.
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
- Follow advice from Security II during critical/dangerous situations.
- Perform other job duties as required by manager/supervisor.
Requirements
- Possession of current California State Guard or Proprietary Private Security Officer Card.
- Must be able to work any day of the week, depending on need.
- Fluent in English (speak, read, and write).
