About the Role

Thought Machine is seeking a Head of Global Partnerships to architect, enable, and lead a global partner ecosystem, bringing our core and payments technology to every bank and fintech. This role involves enhancing our partner ecosystem to create a market-leading engine that efficiently deploys products, increases client value, and accelerates growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, a passion for developing others, and an interest in the engineering behind our products.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritize partnership categories to enhance competitive position and solve client needs.
  • Design and negotiate high-stakes commercial agreements, including joint go-to-market strategies and revenue sharing.
  • Develop playbooks and sales enablement tools for joint-solutions.
  • Manage and scale a high-performing team of Partnership Managers, focusing on executed commercial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Product Leads to ensure high-quality product partnerships and integrations.
  • Provide data-backed insights on market trends and competitor moves to inform strategic decisions.
  • Establish and enforce 'Vault-Certified' standards for partners.
  • Develop and execute partnership plans to support regional growth.
  • Implement a framework for tracking ecosystem health and performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Partnerships, Business Development, or Product Strategy within Fintech or Enterprise SaaS.
  • Experience across commercial, delivery, and product partnerships.
  • Exposure to the end-to-end cycle of originating a partner to delivering a partner-enabled solution.
  • Proven track record of closing complex, multi-million pound deals.
  • Ability to align technical product roadmaps alongside partners.
  • Experience managing and developing teams through rapid scale.
  • Ability to navigate high-level negotiations with global incumbents and agile startups.
  • Prioritize opportunities based on ROI, market demand, and strategic impact.
  • Comfortable making high-stakes calls and moving at the pace of a Series E scale-up.
  • Value transparency and provide clear, actionable insights.
