About the Role
Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking a General Service Technician to join their team. This role offers an opportunity to kickstart an automotive career with a company that values potential and promotes from within. The ideal candidate is passionate about cars and eager to learn from industry leaders.
Responsibilities
- Perform tire mounting, dismounting, balancing & rotation
- Conduct oil changes and other light vehicle maintenance
- Perform multi-point inspections and document vehicle conditions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
- Drive vehicles safely and courteously, obeying all traffic laws
- Pick up parts and supplies
- Transport customers as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and report any concerns to supervisor
- Support team members with assigned tasks
- Adhere to Sun Auto’s core values, policies, and procedures
Requirements
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Some knowledge of basic automotive systems (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Flexibility to work Saturdays
- Previous automotive experience preferred
- High level of motivation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet physical requirements including standing up to eight hours, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 70 pounds
- Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
