About the Role

As a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Intake in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge processes, monitor alarm panels, and provide exceptional customer service. You will maintain a professional presence, communicate clearly with employees and guests, and help support a secure environment.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service at the front desk of a technology, media, and telecommunications location by following site-specific procedures and Allied Universal policies.
Welcome employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; verify access authorization and maintain accurate visitor records.
Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems from a stationary post; report irregularities according to site procedures.
Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel when needed.
Support emergency response activities by communicating information, following established protocols, and assisting with front-desk coordination.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
