About the Role

The Trade Delivery Unit (TDU) is a new firm-wide work delivery unit within the Structured Finance team. Its purpose is to manage and deliver commoditized transactional and advisory work more efficiently and profitably, utilizing service excellence and adopting new technologies like AI. This role will support the TDU in achieving these objectives within the Structured Finance team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance with the management and delivery of commoditized transactional and advisory work, collaborating with partners and fee earners globally.
  • Help identify and embed process efficiencies within the TDU.
  • Identify and test new technology tools to improve efficiency and client service in the Structured Finance team.
  • Provide general legal support to the Structured Finance team.

Requirements

  • Graduate with a first or upper second class degree or equivalent.
  • Previous paralegal experience or other relevant legal work experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Previous legal database experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Language skills (particularly German, Italian or Spanish) are advantageous but not essential.
  • Highly organised and methodical approach.
  • Confidence with IT systems and an interest in AI and its application in the workplace.
  • Attention to detail and confidence to work independently.
  • Highly motivated and commercially astute.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collegiate, team-based attitude.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, reliable and works well under pressure.
  • Must undergo background screening, potentially including a DBS certificate.
