About the Role

BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking team members to power its operations, focusing on general warehouse activities and supporting digital initiatives like BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club. The role involves processing member purchases, managing inventory, and ensuring efficient order fulfillment while upholding company standards for service and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform general warehouse activities including pulling merchandise from a pick list.
• Use a handheld scanner to verify merchandise counts and update locations.
• Operate equipment as needed.
• Support digital initiatives including BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club.
• Carry out job functions and responsibilities as assigned.
• Support the application of club policies, procedures, and compliance.

• Organize member orders using storage bins according to gold standards.
• Clean and maintain storage bins regularly based on safety standards.
• Understand how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department.

• Process member purchases by pulling merchandise from a pick list.
• Utilize a handheld scanner (RF) device to pick orders from the sales floor.
• Verify merchandise using a handheld scanner device (RF).
• Move merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area.
• Communicate inventory and/or equipment problems.
• Communicate expired or short-dated items included on pick lists.
• Communicate with the club team when merchandise needs to be replenished.
• Work with the team to have merchandise pulled from the reserve area to avoid sales floor replenishment.
• Ensure all orders are picked in a timely manner to meet productivity requirements.
• Work with a high level of urgency to ensure deadlines are met, including key performance indicators.
• Follow operational efficiencies, processes, and productivity standards with adherence to established SOP for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
• Take responsibility for individual performance and work with club leadership on performance metrics.
• Securely package orders in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Ensure the SFC area is neat, clean, and organized.
• Perform general housekeeping duties, including removing trash and cardboard.
• Handle damaged goods and spoiled products in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Process returns to the club and determine how to handle them.
• Maintain all club policies and procedures, including dress code standards.
• Meet OMNI productivity expectations regarding service level agreements (SLAs), performance metrics, and goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.

Requirements

• Previous order pulling experience preferred.
• Big box/wholesale retail experience preferred.
• Previous RF scanner experience preferred.
• Familiarity with AI tools, including ChatGPT, is recognized, but authentic self-reflection is valued.
