About the Role

Join our manufacturing team at Thermo Fisher Scientific, a growing company with significant investment in R&D. You will play an important role in ensuring customers receive the products they need to achieve their scientific goals quickly and safely, with opportunities for career advancement and development.

Responsibilities

• Use of equipment including washers, autoclaves, manual pallet jacks, airlocks, lifts, and manual tools.
• Prepare, sanitize, and stage equipment for filtration and formulation operations.
• Operate sensitive equipment for filter testing and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Clean and organize within a cleanroom environment.
• Follow all safe practices, policies, standard operating procedures, and work instructions in controlled environments.
• Complete and maintain compliance with Quality Management Systems and regulatory requirements.
• Perform moderately complex tasks related to cell culture media manufacturing.
• Perform related duties as required to meet business goals and requirements.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice environment, manufacturing, engineering, or related field is required.
• 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced work environment is strongly preferred.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Strong attention to detail for complex instructions and documentation.
• Demonstrated proficiency in multiple processes in a fast-paced work environment.
• Perform basic math, verbal, written, and oral communication.
• Ability to push, pull, lift, and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to squat, bend, and reach different items.
• Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including work uniform, steel toe shoes, hair net, beard guard (when required), safety glasses, and gloves.
• Availability to work overtime and flexible shift patterns.
• Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance.
• Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards.
• Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed.
• Laboratory Setting.
• Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery).
• Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.).
• Warehouse.
• Will work with hazardous/toxic materials.

Skills

• General understanding of technical, mechanical, and machinery equipment is preferred.

Experience Level

• 1+ years of experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice environment, manufacturing, engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced work environment is strongly preferred.

Education Level

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Formal training in Lean, 5S, or manufacturing processes is preferred.

Salary/Compensations

• $20/hr; + shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift positions
• $18.65–$27.97
