About the Role

Interventional Vascular Tech position at St. Peter's Health Partners, offering professional growth and training for Radiologic Techs. Emphasis on career opportunities and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Perform all vascular/interventional procedures in accordance with departmental standards.
• Perform diagnostic imaging.
• Operate and adjust imaging equipment.
• Explain procedures to patients, position patients and equipment.
• Obtain and record complete clinical history pertinent to the examination requested.
• Evaluate requests for appropriateness, refer concerns to coordinator and/or Radiologist.
• Compress and evaluate arterial and venous puncture sites.
• Select appropriate technical factors for requested imaging exams.
• Assist in the instruction of student technologists and new personnel.
• Select accurate post-processing techniques to optimize vascular/interventional images.
• Maintain full knowledge of available inventories and their applications (catheters, guidewires, and stents).
• Maintain aseptic technique during procedures and scrub with physician.
• Access and interpret lab values and patient monitoring equipment.

Requirements

• AAS in Radiologic Technology (or equivalent hospital-based certificate program).
• Current NYS license in Radiologic Technology.
• Advanced certification in Cardiovascular/Interventional Technology preferred.
