About the Role
The Banquet Bartender is responsible for mixing, pouring, and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages during events, ensuring guest satisfaction while complying with legal regulations and minimizing liability.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional and courteous service to guests.
- Mix, pour, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as required.
- Set up and stock bars with necessary beverages and supplies before events.
- Inventory beverage products before and after each event for cost reconciliation.
- Secure all alcohol and equipment at the close of each event.
- Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, ensuring compliance with legal limits.
- Collaborate with the Banquet Manager to control costs and maintain cost-to-sales ratios.
- Work with security to ensure intoxicated guests are refused additional beverage service.
- Attend department meetings and contribute to the overall success of banquet services.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a bartender, preferably in a banquet or event setting.
- Knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
- Ability to handle cash and process payments accurately.
- Familiarity with alcohol service regulations and TIPS certification (or must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing guest needs.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
