About the Role

The Jones laboratory, in conjunction with the Druckenmiller Center for Lung Cancer Research, is searching for an outstanding post-doctoral candidate with a strong interest in translational research focused on the biology of lung cancer metastases. The laboratory focuses on transcriptomic and genomic drivers of lung cancer metastases, leveraging a patient-derived lung cancer organoid program, and identification of new genomic predictors of lung cancer recurrence. We also have a strong interest in exosome biology and their contributions to the development of metastatic niches and organotropism. Finally, we are actively pursuing experiments on the tumor ecosystem and immune cell profiling through single cell RA-seq, and spatial transcriptomics using surgically resected specimens.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct translational research focused on the biology of lung cancer metastases.
  • Investigate transcriptomic and genomic drivers of lung cancer metastases.
  • Leverage a patient-derived lung cancer organoid program.
  • Identify new genomic predictors of lung cancer recurrence.
  • Pursue experiments on the tumor ecosystem and immune cell profiling through single cell RA-seq.
  • Conduct spatial transcriptomics using surgically resected specimens.
