About the Role
Baptist Silverleaf is hiring a Patient Access Representative II to join their Patient Access team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Fulltime Days opportunity, Sunday-Tuesday 6:45 am - 7:15 pm.
Responsibilities
- Registers patients accurately and efficiently
- Utilizes multiple systems and interfaces
- Cross-trained to work in multiple patient access areas
- Maintains service excellence for patients and visitors during face-to-face and telephonic encounters
- Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
- Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
- Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
- Articulates compliance documentation and ensures completion of required patient consent forms
- Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
Requirements
- 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required
- 1-2 years Healthcare experience Preferred
- 1-2 years Insurance experience Preferred
- High School Diploma Required
