About the Role

Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa is seeking a Food Runner for the Texas Spice restaurant. This role supports servers by delivering food from the kitchen to tables, ensuring guest satisfaction through attentive service, and maintaining knowledge of all menu items. The position offers an inspiring environment to work, learn, and thrive within a culture of respect, gratitude, and empowerment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food from the kitchen to tables to support servers.
• Assist servers during the meal period.
• Maintain knowledge of all menu items.
• Greet guests in a warm and friendly manner.
• Assist the server with pre-busing of plates.
• Assist servers in any capacity to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Inquire if additional service is needed from guests upon delivery and inform the server or manager.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements

• Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, members, management, and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10lbs without assistance.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have Food Handlers and ServSafe Alcohol Certification.
