About the Role

The MCR standard is to provide clean, friendly, well-organized and safe hotels for our guests. This role focuses on ensuring guest satisfaction, maintaining spotless cleanliness, product consistency, and fostering teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile.
  • Use guests’ names whenever possible to ensure they feel properly welcomed.
  • Contribute to great guest satisfaction scores through teamwork.
  • Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and a sense of urgency.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of all hotel facility features and amenities.
  • Support all groups and events at the hotel.
  • Understand relevant technology for the role.
  • Answer all incoming calls with friendly service using the approved greeting.
  • Keep all areas, both front and back of the house, clean and well-organized.
  • Pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed.
  • Greet every guest happily with a smile while cleaning.
  • Complete all operational checklists accurately and at designated times.
  • Ensure handover reports are accurate and on time for effective communication.
  • Wear a clean, approved uniform and be well-groomed per the Team Member Handbook.
  • Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members.
  • Exhibit a 'Can Do' attitude, willing to stretch beyond traditional role to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with all team members to create a welcoming environment for guests and a positive workplace.
  • Respond to all requests from guests for general repairs.
  • Confirm and document completion of repair requests through the electronic work order platform.
  • Keep all room and public space Preventative Maintenance work up to date and on schedule.
  • Ensure all safety measures are followed in accordance with approved work checklists.
  • Ensure pool and spa follow area health codes.
  • Report any emergency or life safety concerns to supervisor and General Manager.
  • Respond to emergency situations using information contained in Material Safety Data sheets.
  • Conduct full property walks at the beginning and end of scheduled shifts.
  • Note, document, and complete any maintenance needs identified during property walks.
  • Keep all maintenance areas clean and well-organized during shift and prior to departure.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures.
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns and issues.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must have a desire to serve all guests.
  • Must be willing to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked and clock out at the scheduled shift ending time.
  • Clock in/out for breaks at the designated time.
  • Provide sufficient notice as directed by supervisor when calling out for a scheduled shift.
  • Regularly required to carry out physical working demands such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, standing, walking, repetitive motions.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Read, write, understand and communicate with others effectively using the English language.
