About the Role

MICON Group, Inc. is seeking a Director of HSE to design, implement, and direct environmental, health, and safety programs. This role involves interfacing with senior management and client personnel to oversee project site HSE plans, aligning with corporate values and initiatives. The ideal candidate will provide leadership, structure, enhance customer service, and drive innovation and process change.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and direct HSE programs, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Provide personal leadership and set an example for all environmental, health, and safety work practices.
  • Interface with senior management, peers, subordinates, and client personnel.
  • Oversee project site HSE plans and align with corporate values, requirements, and initiatives.
  • Facilitate a positive safety culture within a union environment.
  • Perform HSE responsibilities, including public speaking, traveling, and utilizing technology.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of HSE experience in the utility construction industry, compliance/regulation experience, or an equivalent combination of safety and construction experience.
  • Possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel with minimal lead time in response to HSE needs.
