About the Role
Samsung SDS America is seeking an SAP MM Analyst to maintain the SAP implementation for inter-company business functions. This role supports SAP and in-house applications within a large manufacturing facility, focusing on data interface monitoring and user support.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert support for SAP MM and related in-house applications, troubleshooting functional and technical issues for purchasing, inventory, shipping/receiving, engineering, and accounting users.
- Manage and maintain material and vendor master data, performing regular data-quality checks, mass-maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with governance standards.
- Monitor and resolve daily SAP ↔ legacy system interfaces, reconciling data discrepancies and generating exception reports to guarantee seamless integration.
- Lead MM-focused project workstreams, including configuration changes, upgrades, and new-module roll-outs; develop project plans, coordinate stakeholders, and track schedules against milestones.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes by validating GR/IR balances, inventory valuations, and purchase-price variances, and preparing related analytical reports.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation (SOPs, user guides, configuration manuals) and deliver training sessions to enhance end-user proficiency and knowledge sharing.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within material management, proposing enhancements such as workflow optimizations, Fiori apps, or RPA solutions to drive efficiency.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience with SAP MM (Material Management)
- 3+ years’ experience with SAP ABAP Programming Language
- 2+ years’ experience in project management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze system logs, diagnose performance issues, and resolve complex problems.
- Experience working in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to document processes with precision and lead efficient meetings that results in clear ownership and next steps.
- Proactive communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively, both in writing and speech.
- Proven track record of tailoring communication styles to diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
- Must be eligible to work in the US for any employer without restrictions.
- Must be willing and able to work full-time onsite in Austin, TX.
