About the Role
AECOM is seeking a Maritime Senior Structural Engineer to lead project teams in developing engineering solutions from proposal to construction support. This role involves contributing to a global team of maritime specialists working on diverse projects like terminals, waterfront development, and coastal initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Execute complex planning and design activities for multi-discipline maritime infrastructure projects.
- Independently develop and analyze calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Oversee and critically evaluate technical deliverables prepared by junior structural engineers.
- Provide authoritative oversight of junior structural engineers' work and conduct quality control reviews.
- Contribute technical expertise to project scopes and design fee estimates for RFPs.
- Coordinate the marine team with other in-house and subconsultant engineering disciplines.
- Conduct interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables.
- Perform condition assessments and site visits.
- Undertake short to medium-term site visits as dictated by project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure technical excellence and business objectives are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field plus eight (8) plus years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Professional Engineering licensure in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Master of Science (with Structural Engineering concentration).
- Ten plus years experience as a Structural Engineer with a focused experience in ports, maritime and waterfront projects.
- Experience with computer analysis and design software such as SAP 2000, RISA 3D, STAAD.Pro, SAFE.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
- Relocation is available for this position.
