About the Role

CapitalCare Neurology is seeking a full-time Patient Support Specialist to join their team, handling patient check-ins, scheduling, and administrative tasks in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients.
  • Process incoming telephone calls and messages according to office policy.
  • Schedule patient appointments following office protocols.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments as directed by providers.
  • Obtain patient signatures on required waivers based on insurance.
  • Organize and monitor the provider's daily schedule.
  • Maintain timely patient flow.
  • Verify and update patient insurance coverage and demographic information.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous clerical experience in a medical practice is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures is preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with patients, family members, physicians, providers, managers, co-workers, and external customers.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion.
