About the Role
As an FP&A Consultant, you will own the planning, forecasting, and financial analysis function for our clients, delivering the insight leadership teams need to make confident, data-driven decisions. You'll play a strategic role in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting, translating complex financial data into clear, actionable narratives for client stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys "wearing many hats," navigating unique client challenges, and delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced consulting environment. You'll collaborate closely with colleagues, partner directly with client leadership, and help the clients we support gain clarity, confidence, and control over their financial future.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and financial forecasts
- Partner directly with client leadership to analyze variances, trends, and key performance indicators
- Develop dashboards and reporting packages that translate complex data into clear narratives
- Lead scenario planning, headcount modeling, and long-range strategic planning
- Support fundraising, board reporting, and investor-facing financial materials as needed
- Integrate and optimize planning tools and financial systems
- Serve as a trusted advisor and liaison across client finance, accounting, and leadership teams
- Present findings and recommendations directly to client executives and stakeholders
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to FP&A best practices across engagements
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support client decision-making
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Minimum 4 years practical FP&A, corporate finance, or related analytical experience
- 2 years management or client-facing leadership experience preferred
- Advanced financial modeling and forecasting skills
- Strong proficiency with MS Excel
- Experience with BI or planning tools a plus (Adaptive, Vena, Planful, or similar)
- Experience in various ERPs a plus (QBO, Intacct, Sage, NetSuite)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Positive attitude and team player
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize "big ticket items"
- Confidence, ambition, self-motivation, and ability to work both independently and in a team environment
