About the Role

The Yates Program Supervisor, under the supervision of the SHAPE Program Manager, is responsible for the general supervision of Child and Family Support Workers. This role supports the growth and development of the SHAPE Program and collaborates with individual agencies to honor contracts and explore service expansion.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Steuben DSS SHAPE & Recruitment staff.
• Assist in recruitment efforts.
• Review progress notes weekly.
• Carry a caseload of 1.
• Supervise the Community Services Program (Skill Building).
• Assist in recruitment and training of staff.
• Ensure program staff paperwork is accurate and correlates with timesheets.
• Supervise program staff, including awareness of weekly schedules and monitoring performance.
• Attend monthly meetings with the funding agency.
• Provide guidance with crisis intervention when needed.
• Supervise the Kids Adventure Time Program.
• Assist in interviewing, development of training, and training of summer staff.
• Secure field trip locations and transportation.
• Submit proper PO forms for each field trip to ensure timely payment.
• Review and submit weekly timesheets for all KAT staff.
• Be on-site once daily, when able and available during operating hours.
• Maintain an organizational system for program contacts, contracts, and data.
• Renew KAT DOH permit yearly.
• Complete monthly and yearly reports for the funding agency.
• Work with the Program Manager to implement professional development based on identified needs.
• Recommend personnel actions such as selection, promotion, evaluation, staffing patterns, and discipline.
• Assist with developing policies, procedures, and protocols as needed.
• Ensure staff have necessary materials and training.
• Become familiar with all service agencies in the respective counties and how to access services for families.
• Work in conjunction with collaborating agencies and the Program Manager to explore development of new services.
• Ensure all contract requirements are met.
• Carry a caseload, as necessary, requiring weekly visitation and crisis intervention in the client’s home environment, schools, homes, clinics, and other related sites.
• Monitor program budgets.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human services field preferred.
• Valid NY State Driver License.
• Access to a reliable vehicle.
• A minimum of five years of education/human services experience, including working with mental health or child welfare.
• Relevant years of experience and education will be considered.
• Employee is frequently required to sit, talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands to type and/or perform light lifting.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
• Adheres to all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
• All duties must be performed in accordance with CCFCS’s corporate compliance & ethics program.
• Any offer of employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
