About the Role

The Master Data Lead oversees key processes and projects to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of master data (customers, vendors, material) within the ERP system. This role collaborates with cross-functional departments to align business operations with SAP Core Model design and corporate goals, while leading initiatives to capture business requirements and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document processes with business data stewards to support operations.
• Define and implement master data strategy, policies, controls, and programs.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues and suggest process design strategies.
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation within SAP S/4 and MDM tools.
• Collaborate with functional data owners to ensure master data integrity.
• Ensure alignment of master data rules with business and IT requirements.
• Cleanse system data by removing inactive, duplicate, or unused records.
• Lead documentation of new processes and data standards with technical and functional teams.
• Engage with business stakeholders to sustain approved Master Data Management processes.
• Support successful S4/HANA data migration.
• Create, update, and delete master data in S4.
• Maintain standard operating procedures for master data lifecycle scenarios.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve master data errors.
• Proactively cleanse key master data and establish business partner relationships.
• Review master data requests for adherence to quality standards.
• Liaise with business units to understand requirements and the impact of data changes.
• Train new MDM team members.
• Coordinate all data-related tasks and activities for LAG.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Master Data Analyst or Data Engineer.
• Experience working with SAP master data.
• In-depth knowledge of principles and concepts for managing master data quality.
• Ability to develop and document processes with functional data owners.
• Capability to identify and resolve master data problems through process improvement.
• Strong personal computer and business solutions skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical presence in the office in accordance with the Hybrid Work Policy.
