About the Role

The Account Manager brings a high level of organization, strategic planning, relationship management, and leadership to client services. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of association clients, serving as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for each account, ensuring exceptional service delivery and alignment with client goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of association clients, serving as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
  • Ensure exceptional service delivery from the full account team and alignment with client goals.
  • Manage the high-level and daily needs of a varied portfolio of clients.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with clients and their stakeholders and manage volunteers.
  • Manage or support various client projects including marketing and communications initiatives, membership registration drives and more; coordinating to ensure on-time and accurate delivery.
  • Prepare and deliver weekly/monthly reporting to clients and management.
  • Plan, take minutes, and follow up on action items for board/committee meetings.
  • Maintain up-to-date databases (sponsorship, attendee, membership, etc.).
  • Support challenging situations and keep Director apprised on progress and challenges.
  • Lead and manage general communication needs, email campaigns, and website updates.
  • Continuously learn new tools, software, and best practices to improve job performance and client efficiency.
  • Complete other tasks essential to the successful delivery of scope or at Management's request.
  • Develop and execute annual project plans, delegate within the internal team, and oversee accountability for team delivery.
  • Manage annual planning, including budget development and management, and assist with governance and business development.
  • Support leadership of boards in governance proceedings and present reports to the board on behalf of Redstone/client team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Communications, Not-for-Profit Management, or a related field.
  • Excel at building and maintaining trusted relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • 8+ years of relevant, association or board leadership experience.
  • Highly organized and able to successfully manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience working with association management companies, or agencies.
  • Experience working with Boards of Directors, committees, and/or in the not-for-profit sector.
  • Understanding of board governance and how volunteer leadership operates.
  • Bilingual in English / French (an asset).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.

Salary/Compensations

  • $72,000 - $87,000
  • $5,000 per annum (additional) French-speaking stipend
  • $5,000 per annum (additional) Executive Director stipend
