About the Role
Axle is seeking an individual to manage and optimize core business operations, develop a deep understanding of UK flexibility markets, collaborate cross-functionally, analyze data, and own critical daily and monthly operational processes. This role involves managing asset management, trading across UK flexibility markets, and ensuring clients are compensated for delivered flex.
Responsibilities
- Owning operations for UK energy trading, including daily trading processes and reviewing settlements.
- Debugging complex edge cases across trading, asset registration, and settlement processes.
- Identifying and proactively mitigating risks to revenue and delivery.
- Communicating insights and actions clearly to engineering and commercial teams.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in Distribution System Operators (DSOs) and UK market regulators.
Requirements
- Strong SQL and Python skills for data analysis, issue investigation, and process automation.
- Strong analytical skills, with daily engagement with metrics like MW, kWh, and £.
- A deep-seated motivation to combat climate change.
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
