About the Role
Ascension is seeking a skilled professional to perform high-complexity fetal ultrasound examinations for high-risk obstetric patients, ensuring clinical excellence and contributing to high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-complexity fetal ultrasound examinations for high-risk obstetric patients under the direct supervision of MFM physicians.
- Conduct comprehensive first-trimester screenings and Level II anatomy scans.
- Deliver specialized fetal echocardiography and biophysical profiles.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Assist MFM specialists during invasive diagnostic procedures.
- Communicate critical ultrasound findings and examination reports to the interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Credentialed in Fetal Echocardiography from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) within 24 months of hire date or job transfer date.
- Medical Sonographer specializing in Fetal Echocardiography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date OR Medical Sonographer specializing in Obstetrics & Gynecology credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
