About the Role
CompassCare is seeking a compassionate caregiver to provide one-on-one, concierge-level support for a male client in Manhattan. The role focuses on assisting with personal care, daily needs, and enrichment activities to help the client maintain independence.
Responsibilities
- Provide concierge-level care, companionship, and engagement
- Assist with enrichment activities, outings, and social events
- Accompany the client to appointments
- Assist with personal care
- Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping
- Follow the individualized care plan
- Complete daily reporting and communicate with the Care Team
- Provide care for a male client living with dementia
- Work in a home environment with dogs
- Collaborate with family members in the home
Requirements
- Male caregiver requested by the client
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19
- Minimum of 2 years of one-on-one senior caregiving experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience caring for clients living with dementia
- Comfortable working around dogs
- Comfortable working alongside family members
- HHA, CNA, PCA, PCT, or related senior home care certification
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Kind, optimistic, empathetic, dependable, and professional demeanor
- Passionate about working with older adults
