About the Role
Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with a 44-year-old woman in the Ithaca, NY area. The DSP will engage in activities, assist with social and independent living skills, and encourage new experiences. This role is crucial for supporting the individual's community integration and personal development.
Responsibilities
- Engage in activities with the individual in the community.
- Assist the individual in developing social skills.
- Assist the individual with independent living skills.
- Encourage the individual to try new things and activities.
- Help assist the individual in navigating the community.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive at the job site at the scheduled time.
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
- A background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be completed prior to hire.
